FULL LIST: Liverpool face PSG as Real Madrid get Atletico in UCL second round

Liverpool have been drawn against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) FC in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League (UCL) second round. 

At the draw held midday on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland, the Merseyside club was paired with the French side for the first time since the 2018/19 UCL group stage. Liverpool were crowned European champions that season.

Liverpool qualified automatically for the round of 16 after finishing at the top of the league phase, while PSG had to take a longer route of play-off, where they thrashed Brest 10-0 on aggregate to proceed to the next stage.

The winner of the clash will face Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the quarter-finals.

The Madrid Derby is another heavyweight fixture for the UCL round of 16. Real Madrid will take on neighbours and arch-rivals Atletico Madrid, while Arsenal are drawn against PSV Eindhoven.

The winners of both encounters will play each other in the last eight.

Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen will transfer their domestic rivalry to the continent, while Barcelona will face Benfica.

The first leg of second-round games will be played on March 4 and 5, while the return legs hold a week later.
