FULL LIST: Odegbami, Oliseh named in FG’s committee on football development

Segun Odegbami and Sunday Oliseh have been listed among the 17 people named in the committee constituted by the sports ministry to map out a 10-year football development plan.

The committee formation became necessary after President Muhammadu Buhari had in June charged Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to provide a “master plan” in line with FIFA’s commitment to the development of sports in the country.

The committee was unveiled at a meeting between Buhari and Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, at Aso Rock in Abuja on Thursday.

The committee list, which was released by Sunday Dare, minister of youths and sports development, includes four former Nigerian internationals as well as football administrators, business entrepreneurs, and journalists.

The business entrepreneurs and journalists included in the committee are Yemi Idowu, Muhammad Faruk, Ogbu Ojiabor, Tobechukwu Okigbo, Ayo Omidiran, Bode Durotoye, John Opubor, Ikeddy Isiguzo, and Ade Ojeikere.
