Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group A for the qualification series of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The AFCON draw was held at the SuperSport Studio in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday evening.
In a repeat of the 2021 African football showpiece qualification series to Cameroon, the three-time African champions will face Sierra Leone once again.
Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé and Principe are the other nations that the Eagles will face in Group A.

Senegal, the defending champions, are pitted against Benin, Mozambique and Rwanda in Group L, while Egypt are in Group D with Guinea, Malawi and Ethiopia.
The winners of each group are the only team guaranteed a slot at the 34th AFCON scheduled to hold in Ivory Coast next year.
Hosts Ivory Coast are guaranteed a place, alongside the best three second –placed teams in all the 12 groups.
