The National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (NASDAQ), an American stock market, has showcased Funmi Adewara, Mobihealth International founder, on a billboard in New York Times Square.
The New York Times Square is a major commercial intersection, and tourist destination in the US.
Brightly lit by numerous digital billboards and advertisements, the city accommodates businesses offering 24/7 services.
According to a statement on Thursday, NASDAQ showcased Adewara, alongside other female entrepreneurs.

The all-women entrepreneurs cohort of the recently concluded summer programme were hand-picked from around the world, the securities firm added.
NASDAQ said the cohort was celebrated on Wednesday for meeting their predetermined milestones.
“The entrepreneurs participated in the three months prestigious Nasdaq Entrepreneurship Centre’s Milestone Makers programme,” the statement reads.

“Launched in 2016, Milestone Makers selects a small cohort of entrepreneurs to receive individualized business mentoring, coaching, training, and resources all at no cost.
“The goal is to help entrepreneurs set, hit, and celebrate milestones critical to company growth. Participants are matched with coaches and mentors who are leaders in their industry and given access to customized resources that meet each founder’s needs.
“Entrepreneurs were picked after a competitive global application process, and all are working towards achieving United Nation’s SDG goals 1-17, improving the lives of and supporting communities across the globe.”
Commenting on the feat, Adewara said she was delighted to be acknowledged for the programme.

She said winning means seamless access to quality healthcare for everyone regardless of their status.
