Why gay fan is ‘blackmailing’ Yul Edochie

Rising Nollywood actor Yul Edochie who is also the son of one of Nigeria’s most iconic Nollywood actors Pete Edochie exposed a Canada-based Nigerian who has been assaulting him on social media for refusing his sexual advances.

A few days ago, Yul sounded the alarm on his Twitter page and posted a picture of a gay Nigerian who had allegedly been threatening and harassing the actor, his fans and his family. All for pictures of his private parts.

“Dis is the psycho who’s being hiding behind different fake female accounts to wish me death, insult my fans and my family,” he wrote.

Steven Ugochukwu Nelson Onyebuchi

“His name is Steven Ugochukwu Nelson Onyebuchi. A Nigerian based in Canada and America. All because I refuse to be gay. All because I won’t send him a pic of my penis, which he’s been asking me for. Is it by force to be gay?”

It turns out that there is more to the story and Steven is well connected in Nollywood circles.  He told TheCable Onyebuchi, a Canadian nurse, worked to gain his trust and turned the tables as soon as he got what he wanted.

“It’s crazy this thing has been on for too long; it’s been going on for months. I’ve been trying to plead with the guy all this while to stop all this. I am a man of peace and I don’t have time for all that.

“He started off just as a fan sending me messages on social media. Then he started coming on with all that gay nonsense and I said to him bros I don’t do that and I am married please leave me alone.

“He tries to be a friend and all that and I ignore him. Then he starts saying things like ‘that is the problem with you celebrities who are snobbish’ and all that and he continues on this for a long time and I finally agreed with him that ‘bros I don’t snub people you can be my friend, fine’. Then that was it and we become normal friends and he sends me chat messages and we chat like friends.

“After a very long time he says he wants to do something for my family because of how he admires me as a person. He said he wants to help my family get citizenship to Canada.

“I believed him and sent him the documents he said he would require, but as soon as he has my family’s  documents, he starts asking me to send him pictures of my d***k.

“That’s when he started doing all sorts of rubbish and posting photo shopped images of my face on dirty naked pictures and posting them online. He did the same to my fans that make comments or tweet at me on my timeline and all sorts of nonsense.

“He has been posting my phone number on gay websites using the name NELLY. And gays keep calling me. He calls me a thousand times in one day. If I change my number he gets it again because he has some friends in Nollywood”.

“This has been going on for so long and now I am ready to spend the last money that I have to hunt this guy down and put him in prison.”

Yul followed in his father’s footsteps into the Nollywood industry after graduating with a Theatre Arts degree from the University of Port Harcourt in 2003. He has been married for the last nine years and has three children.
