The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has recognised Gbenga Adebija, managing director and chief executive of Finsbury & Bromley for his contributions to community safety and development.
Presenting Adebija with the “Distinguished award” in Lagos, Nathaniel Ijaola, chief superintendent of police (CSP), commended the businessman’s track record of excellent service to the community and the police.
“Mr. Gbenga Adebija has consistently supported the Nigeria Police Force over the years as a technocrat and business leader especially through the Police Community Relations Committee which is an effective platform for mutually beneficial interaction between the Nigeria Police Force and the Community,” a statement issued on Friday quoted the CSP as saying.
Samuel Akintoye, PCRC chairman for Bode Thomas Division, Surulere, added that Adebija’s unwavering support and leadership played a role in fostering better relations between the police and the community.

“We are profoundly appreciative of Mr. Adebija’s efforts and we call on other well-meaning individuals to emulate his laudable example of patriotic service to the Nigeria Police Force and our dear fatherland,” Akintoye said.
Adebija who is also president and CEO of Ashton & Layton, has previously worked with Cadbury where he won the highest and most prestigious award for excellence.
He has also served as director-general and chief executive of several international bilateral chambers of commerce, which include the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce.

Last year, Adebija joined the USAccelerator, an American professional service company, to “help business people and entrepreneurs navigate the complexities in the American business ecosystem”.
