Gbenga Daniel, senator representing Ogun east, has urged Nigerians not to be overwhelmed by the economic hardship bedevilling the country.
Speaking on Monday during a tour of Ijebu-Ode LGA in Ogun state, Daniel said President Bola Tinubu inherited a failed economy.
He said the president is working to find solutions to the economic challenges facing the nation, adding that Nigerians should be patient.
“Really, things might not be so good as we want it but I want to plead with you, my people, to show understanding towards our president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He inherited what we can call a failed economy,” he said.

“I wish he could talk because he cannot, as this is the same party he took over. However, from what I know, we just have to praise his courage.
“All the things that have happened before, he cannot change. All he intends to do is to find solutions, and I want to assure you that by the end of his term, our country will be better for it.
“The president needs our cooperation now more than ever before and I assure you that just very soon everything will be fine with us.”
