Kenneth Omeruo will captain the Super Eagles against Guinea Bissau in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group A fixture later today.
William Troost-Ekong, the team’s captain, was ruled out of the clash over a reported hamstring injury.
Coach Jose Peseiro named Bright Osayi and Joe Aribo in the starting line-up for the first time in the tournament.
For the third consecutive AFCON game, Stanley Nwabali will start between the sticks for the Super Eagles.

The coach has also kept faith with the 3-4-3 formation, with Osayi Samuel and Ola Aina playing as the wing-backs.
Forming the Christmas tree of defenders are Omeruo, Semi Ajayi and Fulham’s Calvin Bassey.

Southampton star Aribo will be the playmaker in front of Frank Onyeka while Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon will be licenced to grab the goals.
