The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), at its 34th matriculation ceremony, says it has positioned itself as the country’s premier institution for technology-based education.
Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, the vice-chancellor, addressed new students at the ceremony which was held on February 22, 2025.
The professor described the matriculation ceremony as a gateway to knowledge and opportunity, where students would be moulded into professionals, innovators, and leaders of the future.
Reflecting on the university’s advancements, Afoakwa highlighted GCTU’s recent accreditation by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to offer several innovative and industry-relevant programmes.

These newly accredited academic offerings, he said, align with the university’s vision of equipping students with cutting-edge skills to meet the demands of the evolving global job market.
