Gift Monday has scored 10 goals for UD Tenerife in Spanish Liga F this season -- she is the league's third leading goalscorer
Gift Monday, Super Falcons forward, has been named the Player of the Month in Spain’s Liga F for February.
The UD Tenerife player was announced as the award winner in a statement by the league body on Monday.
Monday won the monthly prize ahead of Barcelona Femeni’s Caroline Hansen, Alba Redondo of Real Madrid, Deportivo Abanca’s Ainhoa Marin, Ane Azkona of Athletic Club, Granada’s Ari Mingueza and Elba Verges of Eibar.
Monday scored two goals in three games for UD Tenerife in the period under review. She scored a late winner in the team’s 2-1 victory over Valencia on February 9, a few days after another crucial goal in a 2-0 win over Sevilla.

The 23-year-old is the third leading goalscorer in the league with 10 goals.
Her efforts have helped Tenerife climb to 7th position in the table with 31 points, six below an European spot.
Monday is the second Nigerian to win the monthly award in the Spanish league this season. Rashidat Ajibade was named the league’s best player for September 2024.

Monday moved to UD Tenerife in 2022 from FC Robo in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
