It was all fun and excitement in Warri, Delta state, last week as Nigerian wholly owned technology company, Globacom, rolled out the carpet to reward winners in its ongoing Festival of Joy promo.
Globacom turned its Gloword shop at the Effurum-Sapele road into a carnival ground with the winners and dancers reveling in the joy of the occasion.
On the stands to be presented to lucky winners in the promo were a brand new, green-colour Toyota Prado, two tricycles painted in similar colours and several power-generating sets and sewing machines.
As has become the custom every year-end for some time now, Globacom brought the Yuletide season to scores of its subscribers who participated in the ongoing promo and won mouth-watering prizes.
The impressive carnival event was further electrified by a performance from the Ema Dance Troupe, which entertained the guests with scintillating dance choreography.
The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Other winners of tricycles (Keke), power-generating sets, sewing machines and grinding machines were equally excited about their prizes at the ceremony. Ovueve Ofejiro, a native of Ughelli, was also presented a tricycle (Keke) that she won. She was full of gratitude to Globacom for the prize. “I am very grateful to Glo. This Keke will help my family. My brother will use it for commercial purpose immediately.” The other tricycle also went to another woman, Uche Okoro.
Felix Gabriel, one of the winners of power-generating sets, gave kudos to Globacom for always remembering Nigerians in its yearly loyalty reward promos. Scores of other winners took home power-generating sets and sewing machines.
