God’s Empire Christian Centre donates relief items to widows, orphans in Abuja community

The God’s Empire Christian Centre has donated relief items to widows and orphans in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja.

Speaking with journalists during the distribution on Saturday, Great Philip Johnson, founder of the centre, said the palliatives were part of the church’s Christmas gifts to the less privileged to put smiles on their faces during the festive period.

The pastor who was accompanied by members of his church and family donated cash gifts, foodstuff, and clothing materials to the beneficiaries.

He said the “physical body needs to be in order before the spiritual being can assimilate and function optimally”.

Johnson said he had held several outreaches during the festive period, adding that the church is sponsoring the education of 15 orphans and placed at least 50 widows on monthly salaries.

He further said the campaign was part of “efforts to fulfil the ministry for which God has anointed him”.

Johnson said times are difficult and urged well-to-do individuals to always reach out to the less privileged in their communities.
