Google has rolled out Veo 2, its latest artificial intelligence (AI) video generation tool, to Gemini advanced subscribers.
Veo 2, which was first introduced in December 2024, is designed to produce short-form videos with an improved grasp of real-world physics, human emotions, and camera techniques like low angles and close-ups.
The new feature, according to Google, allows users to create short, high-quality videos directly within the Gemini interface.
Google said the videos are generated in 720p MP4 format and can be directly shared to platforms like TikTok and YouTube.

It added that the feature is part of its push to expand Gemini’s premium offerings.
“Starting today, Gemini Advanced users can generate and share videos using our state-of-the-art video model, Veo 2. Google Labs is also making Veo 2 available through Whisk,” Google said.
“Veo 2 represents a leap forward in video generation, designed to produce high-resolution, detailed videos with cinematic realism.”

Google revealed that subscribers to the Google One AI premium plan can also access Veo 2 via Whisk, the company’s AI media tool.
The company, however, did not disclose how many videos users can generate monthly, saying that users will receive a notification when approaching their usage limit.
As part of the update, Google also launched Whisk Animate, a feature that lets users bring static AI-generated images to life with customisable animations.
