Group organises one-day training for journalists

MHNG Network, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), in partnership with the school of media and communications, Pan-Atlantic University, has trained 25 selected journalists on the art of interviewing.

The journalists, drawn from different media houses across the country, were trained at a one-day workshop organised in the university.

Journalists were taken through the rigours of interviewing and how to effectively carry it out.

Rosemary Egabor, the convener and CEO of Urban 10 Hub Limited, noted that the art of interviewing is one of the most important skills that journalists need as it helps to “expand on information, clarify facts and see things from different perspectives”.

On his part, Ikechukwu Obiaya, dean of the school, applauded the initiative.

Obiaya said it aligned “very much” with the school’s mission of providing training for media professionals to enable them pursue their calling effectively.
