Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola, never knows when he’s beaten.
The Bundesliga leaders take a two-goal deficit into next week’s second leg match of their UEFA Champions League clash with Porto at the Allianz Arena after losing the first leg 3-1.
But the Spaniard expects a change in fortune after the embarrassing loss in Portugal.
“It’s a complicated result, but together with our fans, we’ll give it a go in the return and won’t give up easily,” he said.

“We recovered well from going 2-0 down and controlled the match. I’m not totally unhappy with my team. We tried everything we could, but it wasn’t easy. Porto are a physically strong team. The third goal was a bad setback.”
It was a nightmare opening spell for the former Barcelona’s coach who went into the game without Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, David Alaba and Bastian Schweinsteiger – all out injured.
The Bundesliga leaders were 2-0 down inside 10 minutes of the match after two defensive blunders.

The first saw Jackson Martinez rob Xabi Alonso of the ball before he was brought down inside the box by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Ricardo Quaresma converted the spot-kick and then doubled his tally soon after dispossessing Dante and finishing from close range.
Bayern pulled one back through Thiago Alcantara but Jerome Boateng’s second-half lapse in judgment allowed Martinez the chance to score his seventh Champions League goal of the campaign and leave the German side with an uphill task in the second leg.
In the other quarterfinal match, Barcelona defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 in France.
