Suspected armed robbers invaded the residence of Raymond Gandu, a correspondent of Africa Independent Television (AIT) in Kaduna state, on Saturday.

According to Gandu, the gunmen broke into his house at Angwan Maigero, a suburb within Kaduna metropolis, around 1am on Saturday.

He said they broke the window to gain entrance into his house and robbed him of some of his belongings and money at gun point.

According to him, two other houses within his neighbourhood were also robbed during the operation said to have lasted for at least 30 minutes.

“Armed robbers attacked my house between 1:30am and 2:00am on Saturday. They took away my laptops, phones, moneys and many other valuables,” Gandu said.

“They operated two other houses in the area, they came in numbers with guns and machetes but I thank God no life was lost rather they injured one of my neighbours.”
