Gunmen kill acting registrar of medical council

Olufunke Omotuyi, acting registrar, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), was on Wednesday murdered by suspected gunmen.

The incident was said to have occurred around 4am at her Apo residence in Abuja.

The late Omotuyi was reported to be in her office till 8 pm on Tuesday.

She is due for retirement from public service next month.

Details of the incident are still sketchy.

When contacted, Anjuguri Manzah, police spokesman of the FCT command, told NAN that he was yet be briefed.
