Five persons have been killed, following an attack by gunmen in Chikun and Igabi LGAs of Kaduna state.
Samuel Aruwan, the state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, said this in a statement on Saturday.
According to NAN, Aruwan said the gunmen killed two persons in Chikun LGA and razed two buildings, including a place of worship in the area.
The commissioner said three other residents were killed at Lambar Zango area along the Kaduna-Zaria road in Igabi LGA.

He said Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna, had consoled the families of the victims and prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
There have been several recent reports of attacks by gunmen on communities in Kaduna, which have left many dead and others injured.
On Monday, gunmen killed four persons in an attack on Goska community, Jema’a LGA.

Aruwan said the gunmen invaded the community and killed four residents, while one person survived the attack and sustained injuries.
Similarly in April, five people were killed in an attack by gunmen in Katarma village, Chikun LGA of the state.
