The attack reportedly happened on Saturday afternoon.

The incident comes about four days after three officers were killed by gunmen in the same LGA.

The gunmen killed the officers at a checkpoint last Thursday and also attacked residents in the area.

In recent months, there have been several attacks by gunmen on communities across states in the south-east region.
