One man was badly injured on Thursday after gunmen opened fire outside Chez Papa, a restaurant in the Bastille area of Paris, capital of France.
The victim was said to have been shot in the abdomen.
One of the attackers has reportedly been arrested, while two others are said to be on the run.
“The gunman was seen running away, before being arrested by police nearby and taken into custody,” a witness said.

The motive behind the shooting is not yet established but local media said the incident happened after an argument that escalated.
“We have no names for those involved”, said a police spokesman.
The police source said they had no reason to believe the incident was terror- related.

Early reports suggested further assailants were on the run, though officials have not commented on the speculation.
The incident comes three months after over 100 people were killed in coordinated assault across Paris.
