Gunners blow Villa away in FA Cup final

Arsenal have retained the FA Cup after a 4-0 demolition of Aston Villa at Wembley.

The Gunners went ahead through Theo Walcott’s volley, before Alexis Sanchez’s effort doubled the lead just after half time.

Per Mertesacker added a third halfway through the second half, before substitute Olivier Giroud scored the fourth in stoppage time.

Arsenal’s win ensured Arsene Wenger moved level with George Ramsey as the most successful  manager in FA Cup history with six titles, while the Gunners’ 12th success leapfrogged them ahead of Manchester United who have 11 cups.
