Hajj 2004: Saudi Arabia grants NAHCON’s request to operate clinics in Makkah

The Saudi Arabian ministry of health has approved the setting up of clinical operations by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) medical mission in Makkah for hajj 2024.

In a statement on Sunday, Abubakar Isma’eel, head of NAHCON’s medical mission, said the approval letter was received through medical consultants attached to the commission’s service provider, Ithra Alkhair company.

The approved clinics, which serve as the medical head offices are located in the Masfala/Kudai and Shari’e Al-Mansour areas.

Isma’eel added that the approval for three other outpost clinics — triage outposts 1, 2, and 3 — is still awaited.

The proposed outposts are located at the Nasarawa, Ogun/Oyo, and Borno pilgrim houses, respectively.

He noted that approval for full operation of the outpost clinics is expected within 48 to 72 hours.

The medical head sought cooperation from Nigerian pilgrims while adding that the global positioning system (GPS) coordinates of the outpost locations would be made available within hours of approval.
