Halogen Group, a security outfit, has won two awards at the inaugural global outstanding security performance awards (OSPAs) 2024, making it the only Nigerian company to receive recognition at the event.
The award ceremony took place on February 12 at the United Kingdom headquarters of the organising body.
Halogen was named outstanding contract security company (guarding) of the year, an award recognising firms that provide high-level security services to businesses, organisations, and individuals.
Its training division, Academy Halogen, also won the security taining initiative of the Year award for its role in developing security professionals with advanced skills.

Wale Olaoye, the group chief executive officer, Wale Olaoye, welcomed the recognition, saying the awards highlighted Nigeria and Africa’s contributions to global security standards.
“Winning two awards at the first-ever Global OSPAs is a testament to our relentless pursuit of security excellence. It is an honour not just for Halogen Group, but for Nigeria and Africa at large,” he said.
“These awards reaffirm our leadership in security training and physical security solutions, and we remain committed to setting even higher standards for the industry. A huge thank you to our clients, partners, and the entire Halogen team for making this possible.”

The OSPAs are among the most recognised awards in the global security sector, with top companies from around the world competing annually.
Halogen Group has previously won multiple OSPA awards, gaining recognition for its security services and training programmes.
