Ariyo Igbayilola, agent of Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles forward, says he has given Jose Mourinho, coach of Tottenham Hotspur, one condition if he’s willing to sign his client.

In an interview with TheCable, Igbayilola said he told the 57-year-old Portuguese gaffer that Osimhen can only join the London club on the condition that Harry Kane, his star forward, leaves the White Hart Lane.

Mourinho had made it clear that he wants another striker.

In December last year, there were also rumours from the French media that Osimhen was top of Mourinho’s shopping list amid plans to strengthen his strike force.

Joshua King, Olivier Giroud, Troy Parrot, Artem Dzyuba and William José are the other likely forwards that can fill in the number nine role at Spur.

Igbayilola, however, stated that the Eagles forward will only leave Lille, a French Ligue 1 side, for another club if he is guaranteed regular playing time.

“We told Mourinho that if he wants Victor, will Harry Kane be leaving?,” he asked.

“If Harry Kane is still play for Tottenham will Victor play? Because he will always be benched for him.

“Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England, all these will always work for him in the club but at Victor’s detriment.

“He needs a club where he will always play full game week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench.”

Osimhen’s agent also disclosed that Napoli, Italian Serie A side, are the only club that have absolute interest in securing the services of the striker.

“I can confidently tell you that the only club that wants Victor 100% right now is Napoli,” he said.

“But the final decision on whether he wants to join them lies with him. Also, Newcastle are in the race just like Tottenham. But it’s just interest alone. No real sign of commitment from them.

“I think with the pressure from different clubs in Europe, I doubt if he will stay with Lille in the coming season.”

The 21-year-old, who lost his father on Saturday, flew into Nigeria on Monday via Lille’s private jet in order to be with his family amid preparation for his dad’s burial.

Osimhen has since being admitted at the isolation center in Lagos due to the rules of international travels in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
