The Harvestworld Church (THC) is currently organising a free skill acquisition training programme for the youth in Lagos state.
According to a statement issued by Yinka Adesanya, pastor of the church, the training, which started on Monday will end on Sunday.
He said the programme tagged, ‘Get Your Side Gig Going’, is targeting the working class Lagosians who are seeking to develop additional skills to their first line job.
“The one-week free training activity is one of THC’s strategic outreach to empower young Nigerians to maximise their potentials and become persons of influence in their communities,” he said.

“The participants will be groomed and exposed to the following skills set web design/development, cake making, make-up artistry, furniture making and small chops/cocktail making.”
Adesanya added that the classes “will be facilitated by seasoned and grounded professionals within the fields on offer.”

He explained that this is the second edition of the training. He said participants of the inaugural edition expressed gratitude over the “excellent culture exhibited by the organisers as well as the top quality nature of the facilitators.”
The statement described the church as a worship place “for the 21st-century urban dwellers, with the sole purpose of making you a person of influence in our world”.

“The THC Skills Incubator is one of the church’s strategies at achieving this sole purpose,” the statement read.
“The church’s midweek sessions tagged: ‘Unscripted’ is designed to dissect everyday real people, real issues and real solutions in an interactive manner in order to boost young Nigerians’ daily living and elicit wholesomeness.”
