Real Madrid have won the FIFA World Club Cup for a record fourth time, following a 4-1 victory over United Arab Emirates side, Al Ain FC.
In a match dominated by the UEFA Champions League defending champions, current Balon d’Or winner, Luka Modric, curled home the opener on 14 minutes from just outside the area.
The Santiago Solari-led team waited until the hour mark before doubling their lead in stunning fashion.
Marcos Llorente’s 25-yard half volley nestled into the net for his first professional goal. Captain, Sergio Ramos, is known for his goals in finals and he headed in the third from Modric’s corner 12 minutes from time.

Although Al Ain reduced the deficit through Tsukasa Shiotani’s header on 85 minutes, an own goal in stoppage time restored Real’s three-goal advantage.
The win sealed a third consecutive World Club Cup title for Real Madrid, and this fourth triumph takes them one better than their rivals, Barcelona, in the FIFA-organised competition that started in 2000.
