‘He left a remarkable legacy’ — Tinubu mourns Osolo of Isolo

President Bola Tinubu has mourned the death of Kabiru Agbabiaka (Adeola Olushi III), the Osolo of Isolo.

Agbabiaka passed away on Wednesday at the age of 64. 

In a statement released in Abuja on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, Tinubu described Oba Kabiru as a man with a remarkable legacy, saying he received his death with great sadness.

“President Bola Tinubu has received the news of the passing of the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka (Adeola Olushi III), with deep sadness,” the statement reads.

“While mourning the passing of Oba Agbabiaka, the President urges his family and everyone grieving this painful loss, to take solace in the remarkable legacy left behind by the departed.

“President Tinubu prays to God Almighty to grant the soul of the late monarch peaceful repose and his family the strength to bear the huge weight of his passing.”

Tinubu sympathised with the Agbabiaka family, the council of Obas and chiefs, and the government and people of Lagos, while encouraging them to take solace in the legacy Agbabiaka left behind.

Agbabiaka was installed as Osolo of Isolo Kingdom on July 11, 2004.

He was buried on Wednesday at his palace on 3/5 Akinbaye street, Isolo, according to Islamic rites.
