The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says its operatives have arrested a man identified as Kayode Cole, for issuing a death threat against Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the agency.
Cole was said to have been arrested in the Lugbe area of Abuja after making the threat via his Instagram handle, “1billionsecretss,” in response to an Instablog9ja post on February 1.
The agency announced the arrest in a statement shared on its X account on Wednesday.
Instablog9ja posted a story with the caption “A Religious Sect Is Laundering Money for Terrorists. We Traced N7 Billion Fraud Proceeds to another Religious Group – EFCC Chairman”.
