‘Her work ethic is impeccable’ – ex-APC senators celebrate Remi Tinubu at 64

One hundred and eight former senators in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have celebrated Oluremi Tinubu, first lady, on her birthday.

The former senator representing Lagos central turned 64 on Saturday.

In a statement on Sunday, Basheer Lado, presidential aide and convener of the former APC senators group, said the first lady has earned the respect of “all” because she has always prioritised the greater good over personal interests.

“It is with great joy that we, the 108 APC non-serving senators, extend our warmest birthday congratulations to you,” Lado said.

“Your journey from a distinguished senator to the esteemed First Lady of Nigeria has been marked by unwavering dedication, integrity, and service to our nation.

“We remember you fondly as a colleague whose work ethic was impeccable. You consistently prioritized the greater good over personal or tribal interests, earning the respect of all who had the honor of working alongside you.

“Your legacy as a champion of women’s rights and a passionate advocate for justice and equality continues to resonate.

“Both in the Senate and in your current role as First Lady, you have remained a voice for the voiceless and an exemplary leader for all Nigerians.”

The presidential aide wished the former Lagos senator “many more years of good health, success, and impactful leadership”.
