The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu has commended Ayogu Eze, the party’s flag bearer in the 2019 gubernatorial race in the state, for his efforts in ensuring the growth of the APC.
In a letter addressed to Mai Mala Buni, chairman of the APC national caretaker committee, Ben Nwoye, chairman of the party in Enugu, described Eze as a “blessing”.
Desmond Ayogu, and Nduka Obeta, APC LGA caretaker chairmen in Enugu, also signed the letter.
They said Eze is a “grassroots politician” who has brought his wealth of experience and knowledge to help develop the party and “widen” its appeal in Enugu and south-east in general.

“He has always identified with the party in all its programmes and activities,” the statement reads.
“The senator has always put the party very high in his scale of activities and has been one of the party faithful that has never missed any opportunity to identify with the party and her members during festivities and at times of adversity.”
They said all eyes are on the former legislator to continue to mobilise the party for the forthcoming congresses and national convention, as well as the 2023 general election.

“He should be prepared to work with other leaders of the party to ensure the party takes over the government of Enugu State at the next polls,” they said.
