He’s taking us to Dubai… most prepared candidate — Twitter reactions to Atiku’s campaign video

Some Nigerians have taken to social media to react to a video released by Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The one-minute clip of his manifesto was posted on his verified Twitter page on Wednesday.

“Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking, welcome on board flight 2023 Atiku/Okowa 2023, I have my co-pilot here with me, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, keeping track of all navigation system, our destination is a ‘United Nigeria’…” the opening message reads.

But the video has generated mixed reactions on Twitter.

“I was ready to sit back, relax and enjoy the flight when the captain said: “My name is Atiku Abubakar …” and jolted me back to reality! Anyway, that is easily remedied. Let @atiku do the narration himself before we start talking about the voice of Jacob and the hand of Esau,” Ayo Obe, an activist, tweeted.

“1st lie detected, no be you do the voice over. You want to use another person’s voice to scam us, so later, you’ll now say you were not the one that made the promise. No way,” Lorry Larry, another user tweeted.

A supporter of Atiku tweeted, saying he is the most prepared candidate.

“Atiku is the most prepared candidate and He’s the only one ready for the mission to rescue Nigeria,” Rita tweeted
