‘House of cards’ season 3 out in February

Multi-award winning United States Television series, “House of Cards” is set for a February 2015 release.

Netflix announced the House Of Cards Season 3 would premiere on Friday, February 27, 2015 after teasing that President Underwood and the first lady had an important announcement.

Insiders had begun to speculate that Season 3 would be released in February 2015, following the similar premiere dates of Seasons one and two.

House of Cards creator Beau Willimon began writing the third season last February, after the release of the second, and has been shooting in Baltimore for the past few months despite delayed production in Maryland due to tax credit bills.

For its first season, House of Cards received nine nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy awards in 2013, to become the first original online-only web television series to receive major nominations.

For its second season, House of Cards received 13 Primetime Emmy award nominations, including outstanding drama series, Kevin Spacey for outstanding lead actor in a drama series, Robin Wright for outstanding lead actress in a drama series.

The production cost was estimated at $63m, more than 1,800 Maryland businesses were involved, and nearly 2,200 Marylanders were hired with a $138 million economic impact.
