He was as calm as ever, making important saves to keep the scoreline at 1-0. Another clean sheet for a man who — on current form — is unarguably one of the world’s most reliable dependable keeper.

He took his goal well. Helped out in midfield and defence. He was less involved, though, as the game wore on.

Nigeria Win 28 Emmanuel Emenike

His power was a recurring problem for the fragile Bosnia defence. Created the only goal.

7 Joseph Yobo

He was caught in possession on few occasions by Dzeko in the first half, but he had a better second half and his partnership with Omeruo was good. He made some timely clearances.

7 Efe Ambrose

He was in control of his flank in the first half, but had a tougher time after the interval, as Bosnia attacked down his flank more . He joined the attack when necessary and his crosses were dangerous. Generally, he had a good game.

NIgeria Win 37 Kenneth Omeruo

He did a good man-marking job on Dzeko. He performance was very similar to Yobo’s: decent though nervy at times, but their partnership was good.

7 Juwon Oshaniwa

He was struggling to deal with Hajrovic coming in off the right in the first half, but did better after Hajrovic’s substitution. He had a hard night’s work under consistent pressure, but he was still able to post a commanding performance.

7 Ogenyi Onazi

He used the ball well and worked hard to drive his team forward. He was on hand to thwart many attacking moves of Bosnia and his long-range shots troubled Bosnia keeper, Begovic.

7 John Obi Mikel

He worked hard but was unable to influence the game as much as he would have liked. He had his moments, but it was really tough for him against competitive opposition.

NIgeria Win 47 Babatunde Michael

He got off injured but before then had a good game. He initiated several attacking moves and he troubled the opposition and their goalkeeper.

He made daring runs down the right, but tired out in the second half. He was replaced after 15 minutes of the interval.

He did his part in keeping Bosnia out, as the Super Eagles held onto their lead.

4 Ejike Uzoenyi

A 76th minutes substitute for the injured Babatunde Michael, he did little, but he offered a fresh pair of legs on a tiring night. .
