A diesel-laden truck suffered a mishap on Otedola bridge in front of Magodo, Lagos state, on Friday and in less than one hour, traffic spread across different parts of the state.
Many who were returning from work trekked home, with a man walking a stretch of 12 kilometers.
Some Lagosians took to Twitter to share their experiences.

Took part in the traffic-induced “Lagos Marathon 2.0” where hundreds of ‘athletes’ trekked long distances to beat the traffic. Yours Sincerely left his footprints on ‘Tormehlan’ Bridge today. #lagostraffic

Lagos shouldn’t have to be like this every time. 1 accident shouldn’t turn the entire city into a catastrophe!
