Manchester City coach Pepe Guardiola says Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho will most likely leave the club to Leicester City ahead of the 2017/18 EPL season.
The Nigerian struggled to achieve regular playing time last season as he became a regular benchwarmer towards the end of the season.
Guardiola says the Nigerian may be on his way out of the club but if the move fails to materialise, he will be “part of the group” next season.
“I think Kelechi is going to leave, for Leicester,” Guardiola told Sky Sports UK.

“I think so, but I don’t want to say something wrong. We will see. If it doesn’t happen, he will be part of the group.”
While Guardiola is happy to ship Iheanacho away, Leicester City are eagerly awaiting his arrival.
“I’m hoping so, but I am like every other manager at the moment. I think we all find it frustrating but it is the current market,” said Leicester gaffer Craig Shakespeare.

“At the moment, of course, we are interested in players as most of the Premier League is, but you can see that clubs won’t really talk about it until they are over the line.”
Iheanacho started last season on a high, playing and scoring regularly but soon became surplus to requirements when Gabriel Jesus arrived.
