Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has appointed Paul Ibe as his spokesman and head of the Atiku Media Office (AMO).
A statement, signed by Ibe and released in Abuja to announce the appointment, also solicited support for the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ibe takes over from Garba Shehu, who was recently appointed as senior special assistant (media and publicity) to the president.
Until his appointment, Ibe, who worked with Garba as deputy director (media and publicity) of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, was deputy head of the Atiku Media Office.

Atiku used the statement to restate his commitment to the Buhari’s government while enjoining Nigerians to also support him in the arduous task of turning Nigeria around to work for all.
“I wish to restate the commitment I gave even long before the election of President Buhari to back him to the hilt,” Atiku said.
