Illmi Children’s Fund (ICF), a non-profit organisation, is partnering with the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan Atlantic University, to empower 300 women through entrepreneurial training.

The three-day training programme will be held from April 17 to 19 at the National Commission for Colleges of Education in Abuja.

The training will offer a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their entrepreneurial journey.

Participants will engage in interactive sessions covering crucial aspects of entrepreneurship which include accounting, customer service, business modelling, growth planning, human resource management, legal and regulatory matters, marketing, operations management, and strategic planning.

Speaking at a press briefing, Nnenna Ugwu, the alumni director at EDC, said outstanding participants will have the chance to advance their entrepreneurial skills further via a three-month mentorship programme after the training.

“Following the training, select exceptional participants will have the opportunity to further enhance their entrepreneurial skills through a three-month mentorship program,” Ugwu said.

“This initiative aligns with EDC’s commitment to empower entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in today’s competitive business environment.”

Also speaking, Maryam Augie-Abdulmumin, executive director at ICF, expressed excitement about partnering with EDC to empower female entrepreneurs.

Augie-Abdulmumin said by joining forces with EDC, their expertise in entrepreneurship training can be used to make a significant difference in the lives of the participants.
