A man has been arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for allegedly forging academic and service exemption certificates to secure employment.

The suspect, identified as Baba Kudu Mohammed, appeared before Justice A.Y. Shafa at the FCT high court in Nyanya on Thursday.

He is facing a four-count charge of forgery.

The ICPC accused him of falsifying a BSc degree in Economics from the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) and a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.

One of the charges stated that Mohammed was in possession of a forged NYSC exemption letter bearing his name and an identification number, an offence under Section 368 of the Penal Code Act.

Mohammed pleaded not guilty to all charges.
