Gloria Izonfuo, abducted federal commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC) for Bayelsa, has been released.
Izonfuo was kidnapped on Sunday alongside her maid and driver at Ogbakiri junction on the east-west road in Rivers state.
They were reportedly returning to Port Harcourt after a trip to Brass in Bayelsa when they were abducted.
The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N500m for their release.

Grace Iringe-Koko, Rivers Police spokesperson, confirmed their release.
“She was released with her driver and the domestic staff that was with her. They were released yesterday morning (Friday),” Iringe-Koko said.
Asked if ransom was paid to secure their freedom, she said: “I’m not aware of that.”
