It’s 2 goals in 2 games for Ideye

Brown Ideye keeps proving his worth after scoring in West Brom’s 2-0 win against Swansea City in a Barclays Premier League game on Wednesday.  

The club record £10million signing put his side in front on the hour mark at the Hawthorns which has now seen him score in consecutive matches for West Brom for the first time since his summer move.

Victory moves Tony Pulis’ West Brom up to 14th on the log as Swansea remain in 9th.

Chelsea left it late at Stamford Bridge as they were made to work en route to defeating Everton 1-0.

Willian’s 89th minute strike clinched victory for the Blues over ten-man Everton.

The Brazil winger fired into the bottom corner from the edge of the box as the ball was half cleared from a set piece.

At Old Trafford, Chris Smalling headed home a valuable double for Manchester United as they survived a scare to overcome Burnley.

Substitute Smalling scored with his first touch to put the Red Devils ahead and nodded in again before half time after Danny Ings had equalised for the visitors.

Robin van Persie rounded things off from the penalty spot that ensured United move back into third place, with Burnley still a point off safety.

Manchester City rallied to beat Stoke City 4-1 at the Britannia Stadium with a fantastic second half display.

The Citizens took the lead through Sergio Aguero but Peter Crouch levelled the score line soon after as the teams ended the half 1-1.

After the break, City stepped things up a gear with James Milner heading home, then Aguero tucked home a penalty kick to make it 3-1. Late on Samir Nasri finished things off as Stoke succumbed to a home loss.

At St Mary’s, Southampton’s Champions League pursuit suffered a setback after they were held to a draw by 10-man West Ham United.

Despite Adrian’s red card, the Saints were unable to find a way through despite a late siege on the Hammers’ goal.

Frazier Campbell came off the bench to earn Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side a point against his former employers Newcastle United.

The 27-year-old toe-poked the ball home from close range after a superb delivery from fellow substitutes Yannick Bolasie.

Papiss Cisse had given the visitors the lead just before half-time, but Campbell’s 71st minute strike earned the Eagles a vital point.
