Brown Ideye came alive again on Saturday as he shot West Brom to an emphatic 4-0 victory over West Ham United in the FA Cup fifth round.
The club record £10million signing, who net the equaliser against Burnley last Sunday and backed up his midweek goal at home to Swansea , struck twice in the game that knocked West Ham out of the competition.
It was a long, accurate diagonal ball from Gardner that set up the first goal.
Aaron Cresswell’s half-hearted challenge was never going to prevent Craig Dawson bearing down on goal, and after brushing the West Ham defender aside the full-back looked up to find Ideye waiting on the six-yard line for a first-time finish.

James Morrison and Saido Berahino grabbed the other goals, as West Ham had substitute Morgan Amalfitano sent-off for violent conduct in the second half.
Sam Allardyce’s men started to find space between the lines after the break and looked dangerous through Stewart Downing, but they could not muster a chance worthy enough to get back into the game.
Morgan Amalfitano, who came in as a substitute, was also sent off after a mere 10 minutes on the field.

In the 57th minute, Ideye took full advantage of some static West Ham defending to score his fourth goal in three games.
He came close to notching his first West Brom hat-trick on 79 minutes but was denied from close range by Adrian.
Before the West Ham encounter, Ideye had scored only two goals in 17 games.
