Ighalo: I’d love to play at the Olympics

Odion Jude Ighalo, Watford FC of England and Super Eagles star striker, says he would be happy to play at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Last week, Samson Siasia debunked news that he had his eyes on certain overage players, including Ighalo, to fill the existing three-man quota, and the strike has now spoken in similar vein.

“I don’t know what to say about that for now. Olympics is still far; I think about six months or so,” he told TheCable on phone on Saturday.

“Pretty early to be preempting what the coach has in mind. I am sure that he’ll be interested in getting his team in place first for now.

“When it’s time for that, I am sure the coach will decide. The dream of every player is to play in the Olympics as well as the World Cup; I will love to play at the Olympics.”
