Odion Jude Ighalo, the Watford FC and Nigeria striker, says he is available for Rio 2016 Olympic football tournament.
After the 35-man provisional list was submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by Samson Siasia, rumors started circulating that Ighalo said he would not be available.
The Watford forward told TheCable:”No! No!! No!!! That’s just a rumour.
“Which player in the world won’t want to be at the Olympics?

“I have said it several times that it is one of my dreams to play at the Olympics.
“I never said I won’t be there and there’s no issue concerning my availability for the games.
“I wish the Olympics were now, now, now. I wish to play in it like right away.”

In March 2015, after a series of strong performances for Watford, newly appointed Nigeria interim coach Daniel Amokachi selected Ighalo for the first time.
“I feel good because it is my dream to play for my country,” Ighalo said then.
He gained his first cap two days later, starting in a 1-0 home loss to Uganda in a friendly.
