Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo says his father’s death is not just a personal loss to him but to the entire Ighalo family.
Ighalo, who was in action for Watford on Sunday as they were eliminated from the FA cup semi-finals, revealed that his father prayed for him on Saturday – the last time they had a conversation.
“l still can’t believe that my father is no more,” he told TheCable in a pain-laden voice.
“I spoke to him on Saturday, which is the normal routine between father and son. He prayed for me and my family.

“I never knew that will be the last time that we will be having a father and son conversation. I am going to miss him a great deal. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that ‘my Paulo’ is no more.”
The late Paul Ighalo died in his sleep “peacefully”.
He hailed from Ekpoma in Edo state.
