John Mikel Obi and his Tianjin Teda teammates were hammered 1-5 by Odion Ighalo’s Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League on Friday.
The Super Eagles players captained their sides in the game which held at the Tianjin Tuanbo Stadium.
Changchun went ahead in the 28th minute, courtesy of a defensive error from Liyu Yang. Anzur Ismailov took advantage of the lapse in play and volleyed the ball into the back of the net.
Marinho scored the second goal from Ighalo’s cross to double the visitors lead in the 38th minute.

Rui Yu added a third in the 43rd minute with a header from Zhenyu Du’s corner.
In the 48th minute, a shot from Ighalo was parried by the keeper, and Xiaodong Fan pounced on it to score the fourth for Changchun.
But the annihilation was not yet over.

Yang Cao made a defensive error in the 69th minute, allowing Guang Li to square the ball to Ighalo, who easily tapped in the fifth of the afternoon.
Tianjin pulled one back in injury time through Yuanyi Li’s effort.
