Odion Ighalo, Super Eagles forward, has scored a brace to help Al Hilal to claim its eighteenth Saudi Arabia Pro League title.

Ighalo, the former Watford player, opened the scoring for Al Hilal in the 7th minute on Monday night.

The Riyadh-based side then went into the half-hour break with a goal advantage.

The former Chanchung Yatai’s player doubled the Blue Waves’ lead in the 64th minute.

Six minutes after, Clayson Henrique da Silva Vieira scored a consolatory goal for Al-Faisaly to bring the scoreline to 2-1.

With the victory, Al Hilal finished top of the log with 67 points — two more than close rival Al Ittihad to claim the 2021/22 Saudi Professional Football League title.

The 33-year-old Nigerian also ended the season as the highest goal scorer with 23 goals.

Ighalo joined Al Hilal from Al Shabab in January.
