Ignite Africa hosts ‘Bookversations’ with Niran Adedokun

Ignite Africa, an Ikeja-based library, will host Niran Adedokun, author of “The Danfo Driver In All of Us”, a book on dissection of life in Nigeria, on September 26.

The book discussion programme will hold at 4pm, via Zoom.

The Danfo Driver in All of Us and Other Essays is a compilation of the author’s personal reflections and interventions on a variety of topical national issues between 2013 and 2018.

Layi Babatunde, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and editor-in-chief of Supreme Court Reports, said the new book “offers simple but imaginative recipes to save ourselves and country from the looming scourge of ‘two for a kobo’ emotional and physical death. It is certainly worth reading.”

Adedokun is a writer, lawyer and public relations consultant.

He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Torquoise Consulting , a public relations consultancy firm.

The publisher of www.eelive.ng, an entertainment website, he is also a columnist with TheCable and The PUNCH.

He heads the screening committee and jury of the Best of Nollywood Awards, an award which recognises and rewards Nigerian filmmakers.

In 2017, Adedokun released his first book, ”Ladies Calling The Shot”, a profile of 17 top female film and television directors in Nigeria.

Ignite Africa Leadership Foundation is a volunteer driven non-governmental organisation “that aims to contribute to social development by developing a generation of lifetime readers”.
