On a weekend that saw Kelechi Iheanacho, Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi and Samuel Chukwueze shine, TheCable selects the weekend’s best XI.
Matthew Yakubu [Sered]
Yakubu pulled off several brilliant saves and was a wall to the opposition. Exceptional.
Ola Aina [Fulham]

Ola Aina’s performance must have felt like a belt in the bicuspids by a baseball bat for the Arsenal players. Firm.
Wilfred Ndidi [Leicester City]
Wilfred Ndidi stood up to the plate and played with ferocity and assuredness and left the opposition forwards itching like a man in a fuzzy tree. Immovable.

Tosin Adarabioyo [Fulham]
Another superb performance from the defender, who also caused a few problems to Arsenal. Always ready to close down space. He was kept busy by Arsenal but dealt with any danger making numerous clearances. Practical.
Zaidu Sanusi [FC Porto]
Always a problem down the left, looking to set off attacks which saw him in lots of possession. Inspiring.

Joe Aribo [Rangers]
Aribo bossed Celtic out of the game. He produced the assist for the first goal. It was another fine performance. Resourceful.
Kelechi Nwakali [Alcorcon]
The playmaker was in fine form and scored a goal in the win at Lugo. Inventive.

Kelechi Iheanacho [Leicester City]
Sweeping over the pitch like a monstrous Mesozoic bird in search of its primeval nest, Iheanacho was just too hot to handle. His strike proved the difference against Southampton. Crucial.

Paul Onuachu [KRC Genk]
Worried the hosts’ defence and scored a double. Moved well with and without the ball and continued to be a problem to the opponents. Alert.

Samuel Chukwueze [Villarreal]
Always willing to have a shot on goal, he worried the hosts. His two goals were classy. Threatening.

Terem Moffi [Lorient]
Was a threat from the beginning of the game, scoring the opener. He also continued to be a nuisance pushing and probing like an eager hummingbird and scored his second. Vivacious.
