Iheanacho makes first start as Leicester draw 1-1 with Huddersfield

Newly promoted Huddersfield drew 1- 1 with the 2015/16 EPL champions, Leicester City, at the John Smiths Stadium on Saturday.

Huddersfield, who suffered their first defeat of the season at West Ham on Monday, went ahead early in the second half through Laurent Depoitre’s effort before Jamie Vardy equalised for Leicester from the penalty spot three minutes later.

Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho made his first start for the Foxes but was replaced with Shinji Okazaki in the 69th minute.

His compatriots; Wilfred Ndidi featured in the game while Ahmed Musa continues to be missing in action for Leicester since the start of the 2017/18 season.

The Foxes have endured an unconvincing start to the new campaign, recording just one win from their opening five games.

Saturday’s game is the 60th competitive meeting between Huddersfield and Leicester but the first in the top flight since 1971-72.
