Another FA Cup brace for Iheanacho as Leicester secure emphatic victory

Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho scored a brace as Leicester City defeated Peterborough United 5-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

It was an entertaining first half for Leicester City as Fousseni Diabate gave them the lead very early in the game.

Diabete, who was making his debut for Leicester, stabbed the ball home with his left foot in the ninth minute.

Iheanacho struck the ball with his left foot for Leicester’s second goal in the 12th minute.

In the 29th minute, the Nigerian forward volleyed home from Christian Fuchs’ cross for his second of the afternoon and third for The Foxes.

The hosts got a goal courtesy of poor defending from Andrew Hughes in the 58th minute.

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi came on for Harvey Barnes in the 64th minute.

Iheanacho, who now has nine goals in five FA Cup starts in his career, was taken off in the 80th minute.

Diabate scored his second goal from a rebound in the 87th minute.

Ndidi completed the rout of Peterborough as he scored in the dying minutes of the game to make it 5-1.
